Problem & Partnership
Mptbox set out to build a metaverse focused on social connection, customizable avatars, and immersive VR hangouts. Polyform Studio partnered to define a visual language that steered clear of sci-fi clichés and grounded the brand in something expressive yet authentic. Through workshops and brand research, the team captured key user values: connection, creativity, presence, and articulated them in a distinct narrative aligned with metaverse potential.
The collaboration involved auditing existing assets, aligning on positioning, and mapping brand touchpoints across digital (VR UI, website, app) and physical (merch, events). The strategic goal: stand out in an increasingly crowded field. Mptbox needed a visual identity that could tell its story to pitch partners, attract users, and engage VR communities with clarity and confidence.
Project Description
Polyform designed a hexagonal logo inspired by voxels (a nod to virtual space) while avoiding overused futuristic tropes. A vibrant palette of lime, orange, and tech-gradient blues was chosen to signal innovation and creativity, then deployed across UI, motion assets, and merch. Typography combined the tech-forward Neue Machina for headlines and the accessible Inter family for interfaces.
To ensure consistency, a comprehensive brand guideline was crafted, including logo usage, color specs, motion principles, and social templates. This allowed Mptbox to deploy its identity across VR worlds, marketing materials, and future product interfaces without losing coherence or expressive flexibility
