The world of sexual health is changing and Gen Z is leading the way. Research shows that this young generation is more open, educated, proactive, and risk adverse when it comes to their sexuality. However, they’re largely still being served with the same old “line up at teh clinic” solutions.
When we met Peter Arian, the founder of Juna, he had a group of medical advisors, a hell of a lot of passion, and a vision fro a future where STI testing & treatment is designed for, accessible, and destigmatized for young people.

Though the idea of at home sexual wellness testing is easy enough to understand, though our Discovery Process we quickly unveiled a lot of formidable obstacles that have kept the industry and tools largely unchanged for a generation. Insurance provider red tape, healthcare data compliance, and changing regulations all provided the team a lot ample challenges.

Beyond being able to talk to healthcare professionals remotely, buy kits online, receive results, and provide tailored resources and support in app, we had to do it all in a brand voice that spoke to Gen Z and gained trust immediately from the most skeptical generation. No easy feat. To tackle this, alongside or Design & Development process we developed a visual identity, content delivery system, and product communication strategy that helped Juna connect to their audience. And we did it all in 5 months.

Since launching the Juna web app the team has launched social media channels, a podcast, and massively successful marketing campaigns to support their mission to improve the sexual wellness of Gen Z. Their success has been highlighted by TechCrunch and others, leading to a successful round of fund raising and expansion into other categories of wellness, all powered by the platform and brand developed with the team here at Polyform.
